Annie’s Garden

A Living Connection to Bandrum’s History

Annie’s Garden is named in honour of Annie S. Swan, the renowned Scottish writer and social commentator who once lived at Bandrum. Surrounded by woodland, Bandrum was her home for a time and a place of inspiration. Today, the garden offers a peaceful outdoor space for reflection and connection, serving as a gentle reminder of Bandrum’s rich history and enduring values of dignity, kindness and community.

Sensory Garden

Created in 2019, the Sensory Garden is a calm and welcoming space designed for relaxation and reflection. With comfortable seating, a soothing water feature, carefully chosen plants and soft fairy lights in the evening, it offers a tranquil environment that supports wellbeing, mindfulness and quiet enjoyment throughout the day.

Woodland Walk

Established in 2023, the Woodland Walk provides an accessible and peaceful route through the woodland just off Bandrum’s driveway. It is a place for gentle walks and fresh air, and throughout the year it hosts seasonal events — from summer tea parties to our much-loved Halloween Spooky Spectacular — bringing people together in a natural and inclusive setting.
